What Are Rounds of Feedback in Video?

Last updated 27 October 2026.

Rounds of feedback are the review cycles between a client and an editor, where the client sends one consolidated list of changes and the editor returns an updated video. Each list of changes, and the new version that answers it, counts as one round.

Most video contracts cap the number of rounds per project. The cap keeps a project moving and stops a single video from going back and forth for weeks.

How do you make each round of feedback count?

Collect every reviewer's notes before you send anything. Feedback that arrives in pieces from different stakeholders uses up rounds quickly and often contradicts itself.

Give each note a timestamp and say what you want instead of what you dislike. A note such as "swap this shot for the one of the warehouse" gets a faster and more accurate change than "this part feels off".

How Shootsta handles it

Every Shootsta project includes five rounds of feedback, and every plan comes with the Shootsta platform and dedicated account support. Agree who signs off each round before the first version arrives, so each round carries one clear list of changes.
